Cooler Park Flyers

I've been working with the promotion team Greenhouse Entertainment for some time now. Cooler Park is one of their signature events. Each event I try to maintain the familiar "Cooler Park" look even though important elements (like the type and imagery) tend to be different.

Trinity View Logo + Brochure

This design is for a new business my dad and his wife recently established. I created a logo using a warm toned palette with a simplified illustration of three houses looking over hill. The color choices in the logo also worked well for the design of the bi-fold brochure that follows. Its warmth is comforting and invokes a form of serenity to prospective seniors.

AMNH Postcards

My freshman year drawing teacher, Carol Fabricatore asked us to use some of our sketches at the American Museum of Natural History into a post card design. These are the designs I drafted.

SNV: Body Shots

This is the new design to promote online for Saturday Night Vybz. I was pleased that the typeface Xtreem (equipped with an outerglow of purple and blue hues) surely gave the design that 80's nightclub feel. Other than that the design maintains the same structure as the previous SNV design.

Sketchbook: AMNH Sketches

I visited the American Museum of Natural History with my drawing class during Fall 2012. The wealth of the extraordinary relics of history in the museum itself was so engaging I spent more time staring than drawing. I still managed to whip up a batch of sketches. I used a Tombo brush pen for some drawings (I highly recommend a Tombo brush pen for on location drawing - it's clean and quick)

Check out some of the photos I snapped at the museum as well.

Sketchbook: Wrapped Object

This was a sketchbook project assigned in my Fall 2012 drawing class at SVA. For our study of the drawing of fabric and folds I wrapped a vest around a coin jar. The image below are preliminary studies of the subject matter from different views.

SNV: Beer Games

Saturday Night Vybz is a weekly event at Rosscos's Night Club in Woodbrook, Trinidad. One of my best buds (Quinn) organizes and promotes the event so naturally he would involve me in his creative team. This is the first design I created for SNV. I had to maintain the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City theme as with the event's previous designs, so the lady and logo were already given to me. A cover photo and square web photo (for the social networking hypebeasts of my generation) with a beer texture and the manly aggressive stamp of approval entitled BEER GAMES seemed to do the trick.

PURE White

This was a boat ride invitation for a client during the summer of 2012. Like most party invitations (and some advertising - sex sells) this contains the expected sexy female, in addition to the common colorful lights and over-dosage of outer glow. However the color white always maintains a sophisticated character. I think the blue complimented well in giving this generic design some sort of class.

Uncle Ben's Water Park

Who exactly is uncle Ben? I'm not sure. This flyer and ticket design was assigned to me by Nigel at Andes Industrial (The design and print company where I freelance as ). The job was quite easily and the mysterious client Uncle Ben was satisfied with the initial draft #smoothsailing

Dog Days

I usually spend a bit of my free time just playing around in Photoshop. I took a photo of my friend's dog on the beach a while back. There was no set plan of what exactly I wanted to achieve; my only goal was to play with the blending modes, layer masks and layer styles until I arrived at something that seemed enticing to my eyes.

Sketchbook: Live Model with pole

Living in dorm of an art school definitely has its advantages. What else would a bunch of talented art enthusiasts do on a Thursday night? Draw. These sketches are from a Live Model Night held in the basement my freshman year dorm.

Tracing of an Old Face

I've decided to started this blog with a digitally colored trace of an old face. This was a Photoshop assignment for my Visual Computing class during the Spring 2013 semester at School of Visual Arts. I added a watercolor splatter brush to the composition to give the dirty brown and white a bit of a kick.
